How do I upgrade my tier?

Upgrades happen on AppSumo, not in KeyShift. Go to appsumo.com/account/products and choose a higher tier. The change applies to your KeyShift account automatically, and you keep your lifetime deal.

What does “Bring Your Own Key” mean?

Every tier can connect its own OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, or OpenRouter API key, or point KeyShift at any OpenAI-compatible endpoint for unlimited usage. Your requests go directly to the AI provider, with no middleman. You pay the provider's per-token cost (typically pennies per day of normal use), with no monthly caps from us. On Tiers 2 and 3 it's optional: you also get monthly credits with zero setup.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows and macOS are both available today. One license covers your account on either platform.

What counts as a credit?

1 credit is roughly one typical AI action (fix, improve, translate a message). Longer text and generation actions use 2 to 3. Voice dictation uses 2 credits per minute. Credits reset every month. And on any tier, actions run through your own API key don't use credits at all.
