AI for Notion
AI for Notion, and for everything around it
Rewrite, summarize and translate in Notion with one shortcut, then use the same actions in Slack, Gmail and Word. KeyShift works in the Notion app and browser on Windows and Mac. Free plan.
Notion is where notes, docs and plans live. Notion AI helps inside the editor, for a per-member add-on. But the work around a Notion page happens in Slack, in email, in a Google Doc from a client.
KeyShift gives you the same actions in a Notion block and keeps them when you leave. Summarize the meeting notes in Notion, then paste the summary into Slack and translate it, with the same shortcut and the same custom actions.
What you can do with KeyShift in Notion
Meeting notes typed in a hurry.
Do: Select them, press Ctrl+Shift+A, choose Summarize, or a custom action called Action items.
Get: A clean list of decisions and owners, in the same block.
A page you drafted in English for a Spanish team.
Do: Select the page body, choose Translate to Spanish.
Get: The translation in place; duplicate the page first if you want both.
A whiteboard photo from the workshop.
Do: Press Ctrl+Shift+O, drag over the photo.
Get: The text, ready to paste into the page.
Writing a long doc from your head.
Do: Dictate with Ctrl+Shift+M, then select and choose Make professional.
Get: A first draft in minutes.
What Notion AI covers
Notion AI writes, summarizes and answers questions about your workspace, inside Notion, as a paid add-on per member. KeyShift does not search your workspace. It works on the text you select or type, inside Notion and in every other app, on one plan.
How KeyShift works, in any app
- Quick Actions: select text, press Ctrl+Shift+A (⌘⇧A on Mac), pick an action. The result replaces the selection.
- The typed trigger: write normally, add keyshift plus your instruction, press space twice. No selection, no shortcut.
- Voice (Ctrl+Shift+M), text from screen (Ctrl+Shift+O) and clipboard history (Ctrl+Shift+V) for the text you do not have yet.
- Undo any replacement with Ctrl+Shift+Z, up to 20 steps.
Windows 10 and later, macOS 11 and later, and Android. See the getting started guide.
Tips for Notion
- Select inside a single block for in-place replacement. Across many blocks, the result opens in a window you can paste from.
- Keep your prompts as custom actions, not as Notion templates, so they work in Obsidian, OneNote and Apple Notes too (Pro).
