AI for Discord
AI for Discord: better messages in any server
Use AI in Discord on Windows and Mac: fix grammar, translate to and from any language, soften a reply and summarize long channels, all from the message box. Free plan, no bot needed.
Discord servers are international by default. A support server for your product, a gaming community, a study group: people write in whatever language they have, and a misread message turns into a thread.
KeyShift works in the Discord desktop app and in Discord in the browser, with no bot and no server permissions. Fix, translate, shorten or soften your message before Enter, and translate or summarize what others wrote.
What you can do with KeyShift in Discord
You run a support server and answer the same questions in five languages.
Do: Select the user's message, press Ctrl+Shift+A, choose Reply, add "friendly, in their language".
Get: A reply in Spanish to the Spanish question, in your voice.
A heated thread and your reply is sharp.
Do: Type keyshift make this calm and short, then space twice.
Get: The point, without the fight.
You missed 300 messages overnight.
Do: Select the channel text, choose Summarize.
Get: What happened, in five lines.
What Discord's own features cover
Discord has no built-in writing assistant for your messages; bots can translate or summarize if a server admin installs them. KeyShift needs no bot and works in every server you are in, including DMs.
How KeyShift works, in any app
- Quick Actions: select text, press Ctrl+Shift+A (⌘⇧A on Mac), pick an action. The result replaces the selection.
- The typed trigger: write normally, add keyshift plus your instruction, press space twice. No selection, no shortcut.
- Voice (Ctrl+Shift+M), text from screen (Ctrl+Shift+O) and clipboard history (Ctrl+Shift+V) for the text you do not have yet.
- Undo any replacement with Ctrl+Shift+Z, up to 20 steps.
Windows 10 and later, macOS 11 and later, and Android. See the getting started guide.
Tips for Discord
- Discord sends on Enter and Shift+Enter adds a line. The typed trigger ends with space twice, so it never sends early.
- For markdown or code, select only the prose. KeyShift leaves the rest alone.
- Save a custom action called Mod reply with your server's tone rules (Pro).
Questions people ask
Do I need to add a bot?
No. KeyShift works on your own message box, like your keyboard. No server permissions involved.
Does it translate incoming messages?
Yes. Select them and run Translate; the result opens in a small window because you cannot edit other people's messages.
Does it work on the Discord phone app?
On Android, yes, with the KeyShift keyboard. iPhone is coming.
