AI for Telegram

AI for Telegram: translate and rewrite as you type

AI in Telegram Desktop and Telegram Web on Windows and Mac, and on Android with the KeyShift keyboard: translate chats live, fix grammar, change tone and summarize long groups. Free plan.

Telegram groups move fast and cross borders: a crypto community, a freelancer channel, a class group, a client in another country. Keeping up in two or three languages is a job in itself.

KeyShift runs under the message box in Telegram Desktop, Telegram Web and, on Android, as a keyboard. Fix, translate, shorten or summarize with one shortcut, or turn on Live translate and type in your own language.

What Telegram's own features cover

Telegram can translate incoming messages in some apps and plans. It does not rewrite what you are writing or translate it before sending. KeyShift handles your side of the conversation and summarizes long groups on request.

How KeyShift works, in any app

  • Quick Actions: select text, press Ctrl+Shift+A (⌘⇧A on Mac), pick an action. The result replaces the selection.
  • The typed trigger: write normally, add keyshift plus your instruction, press space twice. No selection, no shortcut.
  • Voice (Ctrl+Shift+M), text from screen (Ctrl+Shift+O) and clipboard history (Ctrl+Shift+V) for the text you do not have yet.
  • Undo any replacement with Ctrl+Shift+Z, up to 20 steps.

Windows 10 and later, macOS 11 and later, and Android. See the getting started guide.

Tips for Telegram

  • Telegram Desktop sends on Enter by default. The typed trigger ends with space twice, so nothing is sent early.
  • Use clipboard history (Ctrl+Shift+V) to translate something you copied from a channel without pasting it anywhere first.
